Lyrics
She Lies
© Brian Nelson December 2014
She painted me into a corner, ya she boxed me in good
I’m facing decisions and choices I never thought I would
Don’t know where she thought this would lead
When she chose the bottle over her family
And she lies
She looks in the mirror and she cries
Sayin she’ll get better
And she lies
On the floor in the dark
She asks God to save her but he won’t listen when she lies
She drinks in the dark, when she’s all alone
Hides her crimes from those in the next room
Some are just numb to her tricks and her lies
Little ones hurt the most when they see her with their eyes
And she lies
She looks in the mirror and she cries
Sayin she’ll get better
And she lies
On the floor in the dark
She asks God to save her but he won’t listen when she lies
No one suspected her, No one believes it’s true
But the whiskey on her breath convicts her
She had us all fooled
She threw it all away
And she lies
She looks in the mirror and she cries
Sayin she’ll get better
And she lies
On the floor in the dark
She asked God to save her
And she lies
She looks in the mirror and she cries
Sayin she’ll get better
And she lies
On the floor in the dark
She asks God to save her but he won’t listen when she lies
She asks God to save her but he won’t listen when she lies
